Bold yet sweet. The Sound of Violet delves into a disturbing topic, and it's evident that the critics are too dull-headed to go beyond their comfort zones and see the harsh reality. In reality, there are many people who need a helping hand, redemption, a second chance, and this film embodies, this message.

The movie gave me a better understanding of autism and the darkness of human trafficking, and did it all with a story that was engaging.

I loved this movie, I was kind of appalled at the other reviews. I thought it was intentional and moving and a good lesson to be accepting. I believed the actors during the entire movie and was pretty much engaged the entire time. I give it a thumbs up all they way Betsy Dreibelbis I watched in on Prime

Rarely does a film move me in the way this one did. It was a fun emotional rollercoaster!

Absolutely fabulous! My daughter is on the spectrum. She enjoyed the movie and said… only thing she fet "Shawn" was missing was what she called an "idle stance". She explained that it is difficult to stand still and many folks with ASD feel the need to be moving. She loved that the movie referred to Autism Spectrum Disorder.. "higher functioning", and not just Autism as there are many levels. When she meets people she wants to be friends with she explains her autism to them and her unique qualities. She explains how to best communicate with her and that she has an inability to read people's body language and other forms of subtle communication and her sensitivities. We all felt the struggles and the successes in life were well represented. The focus on the human trafficking was done with compassion, facts, and demonstrated the feeling of fears, hopelessness and helplessness while trying to escape that trap. It brings to the forefront the struggles with self esteem, relationships , and asking for help. It humanized the victims and their fight for life. All of the actors did an amazing job. Allen Wolf's talent and all the other talented folks, helped to make the film enjoyable and informative. Our family enjoyed it. I laughed, I cried and felt fuzzy inside. (So did the rest of the family) Kudos! I will continue to spread the word about the movie! I had been anxiously awaiting the release and I was not disappointed. It is well worth the viewing/watch. Fresh, funny, and also touching. Most movies today are watered down and not willing to take risks. Not this movie. It's bold and refreshing. My wife loved it too. Made for a great date night.
