The Watchers

I think this movie had a lot of potential yet it just isn't anything special. It is definitely different from anything else I've seen but I wasn't impressed.

This movie is just plain silly. And there are good actors but terrible acting? Definitely do not recommend it.

Well paced if silly, ‘The Watchers’ benefits from Dakota Fanning’s conviction to take the story seriously. Ok to have on while you’re doing something else. Note: Sofia Coppola makes films that are nothing like her father’s work. Too bad I. Shyamalan hasn’t ventured far from her father’s playbook.

A genre bending film that is admittedly lazy at times as well as successful at demonstrating an ominously atmospheric presence while being slightly creepy and fantastical simultaneously. I enjoyed it and see a lot of potential for a directorial debut.

I don't get all the negative reviews. It was a good watch! Undoubtedly it confusing in parts, but the filming was beautiful and terrifying. I loved the unraveling mythology. Definitely worth streaming.

I liked it. It is definitely the type of horror I like in a movie. It was somewhat believable. It has a unique story that drew me in. I definitely like it a lot>

I’m glad I haven’t read the book because this movie would have upset me for wasting my time even more. The reason for the main character to go on the trip is forgetful, how she goes off road to get to her next destination is ridiculous and the most suspicious character in the story never makes us reconsider that they’re the baddie once they’re introduced. This was lazy and weak. How this was ever given a thumbs up to produce, I’ll never understand.

Disappointing movie. Figuring that was a talented actress this would be a good movie. The movie felt thrown together. The watches just didn't make since. Why did they get along with humans before and now they just murder them... why could they leave the area before but now can't.

The watchers was okay. I think the movie had potential go be better but it was okay. I did enjoy seeing Dakota fanning acting again, I haven’t seen her in a while on screen. I believe the plot details could’ve been explained better to make the anticipation better and give more information. However, I did think the ending was good, but you can probably guess what happens as well. If you enjoy stories about folklore and sci-fi you will enjoy this movie.

Buena película, entretenida y con una gran historia aunque no la clasificaría ni ahí como "terror". No me sorprendio para nada para nada leer el apellido Shyamalan al final porque tenia todo el estilo (aunque acá no sea el director de siempre sino su hija). Ritmo lento y el tramo final me resulto predecible pero mas allá de eso me gusto.
