The Woman Who Loves Giraffes
audience Reviews
, 100% Audience Score- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsOne of those documentaries that's fascinating as the subject's appeal, an opportune attempt in learning more through a protective advocate's caring, nurturing perspective with a subtle strain in emphasizing the wondrous importance of these innocent creatures, even if the prompted profile doesn't engage much due to minimal reputation but her fight against extinction in general argues excellent points. - Rating: 4 out of 5 starsHubby and wife date documentary night finds 'The Woman who loves Giraffes' which is the kind of thing you will like if you like this kinda thing. It's about a woman, Anne Dagg who was the foremost voice on Giraffes before disappearing from the industry. This doc is a tribute to her, and her work and it's pretty neat. Hard to have a dry eye after the finish. If you're a passionate person, you can't help but be inspired by Dagg. Wife: 7.7 Hubby 7.5 Average: 7.6/10
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsDon't get me wrong, 95% of this documentary is very good. Why don't they put a warning on it though? It is rated G from what I can see on google. I am a vegan and was eating dinner when I was watching it. There is about 3 minutes showing graphic scenes of people skinning a dead giraffe and hacking away at its neck etc. Then there is a lot of detail images of different parts of the cut up body.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsA wonderful Biography of a woman who loved giraffes ever since childhood. This woman travels unescorted to South Africa & into the bush to study giraffes in 1956! Courageous indeed!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsAn absolutely moving and surprising story of a pioneer woman who does so much more than just love giraffes.
