The Women of Brewster Place

Some really great writing and some killer performances, but it still feels too melodramatic. Nonetheless, a decent drama that will probably jerk them tears

The Women of Brewster Place is an excellent film. It is about a group of strong-willed women who live in the same rundown housing project located on Brewster Place. Oprah Winfrey and Mary Alice give amazing performances. The teleplay is well written. Donna Deitch did a great job directing this TV movie. I enjoyed watching this TV movie because of the drama.

One of the best movies ever made...

I have seen this film on dvd, it is great,great. It shows a how a black single mother endures through hard times and becomes a fixture to help others,to help them deals with probelms in their lives.

Excellent movie: It's been a while since I've seen this movie, but I remember what a powerful story it was.
