Considering the already thin plot and character development of Betty in the prior film, I anticipated, at the very least, some novelty here—whether in the plot, character development (which was sorely needed), or elsewhere. Unfortunately, there's nothing fresh on the horizon, making it difficult not to view this sequel as a reheated version of the first movie, with all its flaws remaining or even exacerbated. Overall, the plot, character development, and the viewing experience felt rather shallow, often bordering on boredom. I kept hoping for something new or different to emerge, only to end up feeling « seriously, that’s it…? »

Well paced, well drawn characters, and a believable step by step action and resolution to the plotline. Worth the watch.

The Wrath of Becky is enjoyable enough as a satisfying sequel mainly because of Lulu Wilson's performance. I can't say that I wasn't slightly disappointed simply because it took awhile to get into the action, the runtime was problematic, and I wish there were more kills. And Sean William Scott continues to be an incredibly underrated actor as he again shows as the villain here. Overall, I suppose I was just left yearning for more with this entry but as it's implied, I do hope we get to see Becky again in the future.

Just like the first one- low-budget, creative, and fun.
