Excellent music documentary is also a good portrait of the artist Nick Cave, his productive process with Warren Ellis including a full musical performance; essential watching for fans.

Wow! Far more interesting and engaging than I expected, even for a Nick Cave fan like myself. The movie itself, the music and the performances are exceptional.

The very best parts were interviews with Nick and Warren. I wish there had been more of them. Seeing the film in the shadow of Nick's son's death made for a sad strangeness. Overall, I'm definitely glad we went.

Gorgeous cinematography and production. If anything, I wish there would have been a little more dialogue. Those were some of my favorite parts. But overall, wonderful.

Five stars... an absolutely beautiful film from Andrew Dominik that explores the life and music of Nick Cave and Warren Ellis. Stunning cinematography, and lighting present images of a musical team at the peak of their powers. The songs and scenes will stay with you long after the cinema lights die down.
