I watched this movie once and I thought it was okay. I too was a bit dismade that Edward and Henry were taken out of the steam-team afterwords. But I didn't mind it that much.

My kids loved this one and are already waiting for the next sequels for it as they enjoyed the World adventure for Thomas and his new friends

This movie is so cheep and garbage, this is the most unrealistic the show has ever gotten. Children deserve better content than this, you can't break the show again when the show just got fixed. Your a moron if you thought this movie was good, your a moron if you thought Thomas was sexist. I hope in the next coming years Mattel realizes this isn't correct, but Mattel is shit so I wouldn't get my hopes up.

I'm gonna be honest: first saw the trailer and I thought it was a joke. I thought it was just a just a cheap cash-in on the tv series. But I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt. And holy shoot! It's worse than I thought it was gonna be. 1. Animation: ok the quality is meant to be direct to dvd but the animation is so cartoony and so off that I can't even associate it with Thomas or a children's show that respects it audience. Not helping is everything happens so fast as if it has ADHD or something. It's just constant visual noise that never takes a break. 2. Story: good grief! What story?!? This is just a series of events of Thomas doing stuff. And the arc he goes through is the same tiresome arc we've seen him go through so many times. Not helping is that it rips off previous films in events such as Thomas wanting to leave his home or learning that it's better to ask for help. And this leads to... 3. Characters: Every character is either stupid or unlikeable. Because of Thomas' repetitive character arc, he starts to look like an insufferable a-hole who has to learn the same lesson over and over. Nia is just a Mary Sue who only cares about doing the right thing. Ace has got to be the worst character as he would be constantly telling Thomas to do some reckless stuff and just ride the road dangerously. Everyone else is pointless or have arcs that don't even fully form. (Seriously, the Fat Controller's arc doesn't even have an ending.) This is a film I don't even recommend kids to watch. It's a film associated with bad messages, stupid characters, an incoherent story, and obnoxious animation. This has got to be the worst of the Thomas movies. (And yes that includes "Calling All Engines", "Misty Island Rescue", and "Day of the Diesels".) For the songs, I can give it a 1 but can't go any higher than that.
