A tremendous work about what it means to be meat, and how beautiful and terrible transformation must be.

I thought this was a horrible film

I like the unflinching body horror and Rousselle's performance (which is mostly nonverbal) but this is less coherent than a lot of people are willing to admit. At some point your provocations have to add up to something more than just "boy was that crazy or what?"

I made an account just to rate this movie. It's one of the worst purges I've seen of French cinema, on the level of Alad'2. I don't understand how anyone can throw so much praise at something like this.

I don't know what the hell I just watched. I can't be bothered to psycho analyse it. I just found it a combination of gross and boring. Not worth my time. Watched it on Channel 4.

Strangely enough, I think this movie works best without the fantastic and body-horror parts. At its core, this film is a drama. We experience the relationship between two broken people, the conflict between their deepest desires and the consequences their meeting has on their respective personal struggle. Because of that, the acting is very important and both actors deliver a very good performance, especially Vincent Lindon. He plays a lonely disillusioned old fireman on steroids, completely adrift after losing his young son several years ago. The other lead, Agathe Rousselle, plays a disturbed young female, also very lonely and about to experience an unprecedented metamorphosis. I don't think the soundtrack is the strong point of this film. Nevertheless, the cinematography is excellent; I really enjoyed the use of colors, contrasts and lightings which reinforce the drama and its horrors elements. Overall, I was more or less interested in the relationship between the two leads, but I don't think the fantastic part was that well integrated and used. I don't know why it won at Cannes. To each its own I guess.

Julia Ducournau follow up to the fantastic "Raw" fr 2016 & I'm not entirely sure how to put "Titane" without spoiling the glorious madness that is shown. Think cars, sex, violence with couple of wince-inducing moments & sly humour & the most bizarre body horror I've seen. Within the craziness there's an odd, but nice connection of two different people finding comfort between each other even knowing that comfort is built upon lies.

One of the best films I've seen - body horror to the max.
