Throughout To the End, there is a clear sense of urgency to the call for action.

One of the subjects of “To the End” notes that she wants to “speak things into existence.” It’s a painfully poignant wish, representative of the blend of optimism, desperation, and determination that powers the entire film.

Representative Ocasio-Cortez offers the best onscreen antidote to despair — she’s funny, a canny political strategy.

When “To the End” centers its subjects... they shine and inspire, even at their most challenged.

To the End is set to ignite more Americans to take action.

"To the End" keeps its large canvas entertaining and informative. Even so, it preaches enough to the choir that this documentary can hardly serve as an introduction for those belatedly coming to terms with its central issues.

Despite its rather-too-broad approach to its subject matter, To the End is a compelling on-the-ground behind-the-scenes over-the-shoulder glimpse at the mechanisms of American progressive politics.

Despite "To the End"’s insistence on hope, its most indelible moments are those that are honest about the understandable trepidation so many of us feel about the future.

There is no doubt that this issue is fundamental to a functioning and existing society. This documentary is simply not the film to tackle it head-on.


It’s an impressive task to craft a documentary that connects multiple activists and events over the course of four years under 93 minutes.
