A truly funny ride that reads so distinctly Australian (specifically showcasing of Indigenous cultures which is touching and sensitive) with a genuine, beautiful exploration of love, connection to family and heritage tied up neatly within it. Love stories are nothing new, but this one is told with such deft nuance that renders it a clear standout in the modern rom-com genre. Put simply, I cannot express how happy this movie made me - the performances were charming and well rounded; a new favourite!

Cracking little Indi Rom-com. Shame this didn't get the push that ‘My big fat Greek Wedding' got for its Writer/Star. Miranda Tapsell deserves far more credit.

A little bit cheesy, and yet not! -It's a lot of fun, and not without its serious side, too. Some parts are absolutely & subliminally superb, whereas one or two bits were a bit ordinary. In any case, well worth watching at least once, and probably yet again some time later, too. -I am looking forward to it! TOP End.

Simple yet powerful. One of the best chillied movies I have ever seen.

Wonderful. Lots of great stars, plenty of humour and drama. Captured the different characters. Stunning images of the best the Top End has to offer. Looked like a tourism promotion. I'll probably watch it again. Ranks up there with The Castle as an iconic Aussie film without overplaying the Aussie stereotypes.

Wow, a well received RomCom?!?? Same formula as the rest in this genre. I could write the exact same review for all RomComs. Most are pretty good feel good movies about finding your soul mate and they are easy on the mind; minimal focus required. This was a nice change, being from Australia, and it had a couple of educational touches for an unfamiliar part of the world. The cast were very good and made the characters quite believable. I don't see this much harmony in Australian culture, do it was nice to get a pocket of it so realistically delivered.

A delight from start to finish, with the second half particularly charming

Well made. Entertaining. Beautifully shot. Witty and poignant.

Enjoyed the movie. Uplifting and positive. I particularly found the writer's (and actors) ability to convey what sadness and ultimately, joy feels like to be genuine. Dad in the pantry with the music is a gem!
