I was lucky enough to see a pre release screening of Tornado . I absolutely loved it , a strange mix of Kick Ass , The Warriors and Clockwork Orange style by Vivienne Westwood , watch it !

A beautifully crafted film, with a great cast and well constructed plot. Well worth watching on the big screen as it looks and sounds fantastic at every turn.

Spoiler alert! Set in the 1790s British Isles, a girl (Tornado) performs a Samurai puppet show in a traveling circus with her father, a Samurai warrior. She steals gold from some bandits and then runs as her father and many others are killed for the gold. The bandits kill some of their own and then she kills the rest and triumphantly strides off into the sunset. Silly film!

Couldn’t decide if it was a family film. Kids film. Cowboy film. Or samurai film. All n all, a fine college movie final quality film.

A good mishmash’s of Old Western/ Samurai movie. Not enough character building and the only redeeming aspect of the movie is the third act of the movie

The movie is straight to the point with some decent kills. But with that it doesnt do much else. Story is simple and cinematography looks decent but you could tell the budget wasnt that big. Worth a watch

It was fine. The lead actress handled the role well and Tim Roth was a good villain but the story was pretty weak. The other characters felt like fodder for the plot to move forward rather actual characters. The run time was nice and tight.

This movie is a western. Many people don’t understand what a western is because we haven’t had very many good ones in the past 20 years (though there have been a few good ones that flew under the radar). This movie is a slow burn but more tense than most westerns. It has excellent cinematography, acting, and twists and turns you don’t expect. The soundtrack is also great. Unfortunately, it seems that if you watch the trailer, in any form, too much is given away and the movie is portrayed as more of a Grindhouse movie. I don’t understand why the studio marketed it like this because if I had seen any trailers (which I did not), I feel a lot of the movie would have been ruined. If you like westerns and have not watched trailers (or maybe even if you have), I highly recommend this movie
