"Triple Threat" does not deliver on its kinetic casting promise.

Even if it all is ridiculous I kind of loved this brutally visceral action extravaganza anyhow.

Episode 33: Triple Threat / The Raid / Dragged Across Concrete

There's a scene in "Triple Threat" where Tony Jaa fights Scott Adkins, then Jaa and Iko Uwais fight Adkins, then Jaa fights Adkins solo again. A scene. Not even a scene, a sequence within a scene. If that doesn't convince you to watch, I'll try harder.

Hopefully, the trio will get another chance to deliver something with more staying power.

The script gets in the way of an easy win by trying, in vain, to actually be a good movie

This movie isn't going to win over non-genre fans. But if you are a martial arts fan, you got to check it out. Though, it's not a classic.

Triple Threat may not be the action wonderland given the talent involved, but it is still an entertaining piece of martial arts goodness thanks to its performers and the ferocious action scenes.
