Too weird for me. Felt I had wasted my time.

Strong promise but failed at every turn. I get the feeling the film strives for but tragically misses at every opportunity. A feel bad movie with no redeeming quality that measures up. I guess maybe most / some of the acting is adequate. Shame on Russell crow. He should fire whoever advised this.

I appreciate that the movie is trying to pull apart the mythology of history but the imagery eventually becomes tiresome and repetitive.

Thin characterisation. Stylish veneer that never rings true. Posing as insightful noir full of punk attitude like a teenagers self absorbed poem. Evocative landscape and awfully unachieved storytelling. Bought it and deleted it halfway through. My 17 year old son and his mate hated it and sat out under the stars trying to recover from the brutalising images.

I'm surprised by how many people thought this movie was "too weird." I didn't find it to be all that crazy. It's a beautiful and often violent movie that may feel a bit too long. Great performances from Russell Crowe, Nicholas Hoult, and Essie Davis. George MacKay absolutely kills it with his awesome, wild performance. Hell, even the kid who plays young Ned Kelly was phenomenal. Just really fine performances all around. Also love the queer stuff. It's good.

What a treat, on the last hot day of summer. I watched half the trailer and I was in. The direction was authentic yet quirky with the characters so flawed and flawless. Love takes on a whole new meaning when you have nothing.

A pretentious mess. The definition of style over substance. The Russell Crowe part is bearable just because he's so talented. Shoulda coulda been a solid and fun movie but the director was more concerned with trying and failing to be artsy

Just an absolutely epic movie all around! I can't even fathom the fact that it's based off a real human being. A thrilling story with depth and character. I was fully immersed in this film, and it was a wonderful work of art.

Incredible, charismatic performances by both the actors playing Ned Kelly. I think it lost some of its pace midway and i missed a little day light? I had to peer to see what was going on in quite a few scenes. Overall very visceral experience. One of the best films I've seen in a while.

This was a very good movie. The acting was superb. It kind of humanised Ned and showed how badly the Brits treated the Irish. Is that why the audience gave low scores? Who knows, but I liked it.
