It was NOT made for kids. They marked this wrong people in high school in y2k will love it.. Its a little corny to start BUT that 1999/2000 feel eventually shows up and boom. Its a creature feature in an alternate universe where fread durst becomes president 🤣🤣. No but really plow past the corny "REMEMBER THE 90S" Crap and you'll love it. Way more fun than it should have been.

Mitchell’s vs the machines but gory and horror. Loved it

Y2K was slightly sharper than expected, but many times fell into the hyper nostalgic errors of similar throwback content (like Stranger Things), where it’s more of a general “remember this stuff from back when” as opposed to accurately depicting a bygone era. That said though, it’s actually really funny, and the meta commentary and aspects- there’s a hacker scene that’s reminiscent of (laughable in hindsight) hacker scenes in late 90s flicks, wildly surprising cameos, cringeworthy-but-1,000% true- fashion and slang details. Sometimes it takes itself too seriously, but only for a few minutes at a time, and not too often. Overall, it’s not at all wiggity-wack, and at no time during the tight runtime, will you feel the urge to go outtie 5,000…

It goes to show that if you have any sort of success (and I mean a small amount) on SNL, you can sell a movie to a studio. The movie starts out quite interesting actually, bringing back a lot of nostalgia from the late 90s. But absolutely fizzles with poorly executed comedy writing. It just wasn't funny at all after the first 15 minutes. Entertainment wise, it's nothing you haven't seen before, think "Faculty" with robots. Which is exactly what Kyle Mooney was probably pitching/thinking to the studio. I wish someone gave me the SNL role over that dude. No offense.

Only watched this movie because of Fred Durst, but it's such a shitty movie. I recommend spend your time watching the ceiling, is more interesting

What if the Y2K bug really caused issues? That’s the premise of this horror comedy. Overall I enjoyed it! The late 90’s music throughout was AWESOME! This got a little more gory than I thought it would, but every time it got a little too much or “scary” something funny would happen. The dialogue was kind of cheesy at times. But, I think that is what they were going for. This was a far from perfect but fun movie!

It started off pretty good and had some good comedy but when Fred Durst came in it started to get ridiculous...Give it 3stars because of the ending (Not Dohdoh Certified đź’Ą
