Young Plato

This is just wonderful... I love this movie.

“Young Plato” is a fascinating, sometimes funny and often touching film. It’s easy to see why the directors were drawn to McArevey and his school.

A very engaging film.

Young Plato isn’t flashy. There are no fanciful edits or infographics to get the point across. In many ways, the documentary mirrors its main subject. “It’s caring philosophy. Everyone’s opinion matters,” Principal McArevey tries to drive home.

I’m no doctor, but allow me to prescribe “Young Plato” as a potential cure for what ails our increasingly fractured society.

A wonderful documentary that makes you wonder why philosophy isn't taught at every school. 
This isn’t a Hollywood version of a true story, it’s the real deal. Truly inspiring.

If you would like to have a dose of inspiration so needed this days, and if you are willing to learn with a non traditional movie, without a doubt this is a great option for a weekend. [Full Review in Spanish]

A guardedly optimistic film showing us...the Platonic Ideal, a school with a small enough teacher-to-student ratio, with respected, committed and compensated educators...teaching children to reason, debate and think for themselves.

Powerful, engaging, inspirational and important ... The headmaster, hell-bent on growing thinkers instead of fighters, serves up the philosophy of ancient Greeks. Great conversation starter.

Provocative, heartwarming and inspirational glimpse inside a primary school that's like an oasis in the desert.
