Actor Chris Gauthier is best known to sci-fi fans for his role in the popular television show "Eureka." Gauthier launched his professional acting career during the early 21st century, via roles in both television ("Cold Squad," "Dark Angel") and film ("40 days and 40 Nights," "Insomnia"). Further roles came his way, including the character Shack in the popular 2003 horror flick "Freddy vs. Jason," which saw the main characters from the "Nightmare on Elm Street" and "Friday the 13th" film franchises go toe-to-toe. Additionally, Gauthier would win a pair of Leo Awards for his acting in television--for "Earthsea" (in 2005) and "Zixx: Level Two" (in 2006). But it was his role in the sci-fi/comedy program "Eureka" that served as Gauthier's breakthrough. Playing the character Vincent (aka Virtual Vincent), Gauthier appeared in over 40 episodes of the show from 2006 through 2010. Although born in England, Gauthier resides in Vancouver.
