Chris Pontius

If superlatives were handed out to the cast of the deliriously slapstick reality series "Jackass" (MTV, 2000-02), then Chris Pontius claimed the title of "Most Enthusiastic." A mainstay of the popular program since its inception, Pontius established himself as a blithely demented cherub who enjoyed donning costumes - from women's bikinis and devil's horns to, quite frequently, nothing at all - while subjecting his body to all manner of absurd and painful stunts. Pontius' beaming smile and off-handed way with a joke made him among the most popular stars of "Jackass," which ultimately led to his own series, "Wildboyz" (MTV/MTV2, 2003-06), which saw him and fellow "Jackass" madman Steve-O travel the globe in search of wild animals that might harm them. In addition to his series and all three blockbuster "Jackass" films, Pontius made occasional forays into acting, most notably in Sofia Coppola's "Somewhere" (2010). But self-abuse and silly behavior appeared to be his meat and potatoes, and Pontius happily continued to put himself in harm's way to the delight of his legion of fans.
