Derek Jeter

There have been few names as heralded in Yankee lore as Babe Ruth and Mickey Mantle, but none would argue that Derek Jeter belongs anywhere but on the same list. Drafted by the Yankees in 1992, Jeter quickly made a name for himself with stellar play and infamous postseason appearances, and has been credited for helping to reinvigorate a Yankees franchise which had seen over 10 years of abysmal play before his arrival. Considered by many to be a first-ballot Hall of Famer, Jeter's career continues to escalate despite a slew of injuries. Regardless of what happens next, Mr. November will forever be remembered as one of the greatest ballplayers to ever wear a Yankees uniform.
