Eliza Scanlen
Eliza Scanlen was born on Jan. 6, 1999 in Sydney, Australia. Upon graduating from high school, Scanlen eschewed further education for a role on the screen, landing a recurring role almost immediately on the Australian soap opera "Home and Away" (Seven Network 1988-). Following attachment to a pair of short films-including "Grace" (2018), helmed by "The Babadook" (2014) art director Alex Holmes-Scanlen earned a starring role on her first American production: "Sharp Objects" (HBO 2018- ), a mystery-drama miniseries costarring Amy Adams and Patricia Clarkson and created by former "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" (The WB/UPN 1997-2003) writer and producer Marti Noxon and Gone Girl (2012) author Gillian Flynn.
