A talented actress and bilingual bombshell, Génesis Rodríguez quickly ascended to international stardom. Born July 29, 1987 in Miami, Florida, Génesis Rodríguez Pérez hailed from a showbiz family; her mother, Carolina Perez, was a famous Cuban model and her father, José Luis Rodríguez, a.k.a. "El Puma," was a famous Venezuelan performer. Trained as an entertainer her whole life, Rodríguez made her acting debut in the telenovela "Prisionera" (Telemundo, 2004), where she played the daughter of a woman jailed for a murder she did not commit. Gorgeous and telegenic, Rodríguez proved a natural for the telenovela format, and she starred as a naïve chocolatier in "Dame Chocolate" (Telemundo, 2007) and as the loyal daughter of the fierce "Doña Bárbara" (Telemundo, 2008-09). English-speaking audiences noticed her when she landed a role on "Days of Our Lives" (NBC, 1965- ), recurred on "Entourage" (HBO, 2004-2011), and made her feature film debut with an ALMA-nominated turn as a jewel thief in the drama "Man on a Ledge" (2012).
