Ian Lake

Ian Lake's career started in the theatre, rising to prominence at the renowned Stratford Festival in Canada. He grew up in the country, born in Vancouver and spent ample time in Toronto. Lake was an ascending star throughout his many years at the festival, including a musical performance as Guy in "Once" in 2015 and playing Macbeth in "Macbeth" during the 2016 season. Outside of Stratford, his screen career only existed in one-off roles on Canadian-filmed shows like "Bomb Girls" (Global 2012-13) and "Beauty and the Beast" (The CW 2012-16). His longest appearance on a show was on a few episodes of "Bitten" (Syfy 2014-16) in its last season. Around that time, his Macbeth performance was filmed for the screen in "Macbeth" (2017), releasing in theatres to much acclaim. A variety of other roles feel into place for Lake around that time, including turns on "The Girlfriend Experience" (Starz 2016- ), "Mary Kills People" (Global 2017- ), and "Workin' Moms" (CBC 2017- ), appearing as recurring characters on all three throughout 2017 and 2018.
