Judith Shekoni was a British actress who became well known to American TV audiences in 2015 after she appeared as Joanne Collins on the superhero miniseries "Heroes Reborn" (NBC, 2015). Born and raised in the working class town of Manchester, England, Shekoni's stunning beauty was evident at a very young age. By the age of 18 she was one of England's most in-demand professional models, and was soon traveling the world. By the early 2000s, however, with her modeling career still in its early stages, Shekoni decided to turn her attention to acting full-time. She started landing guest roles on various British TV shows like "Fat Friends" (ITV, 2000-05) and "Casualty" (BBC One, 1986- ), before landing her first big break in 2002 with a recurring role on the long-running soap opera "EastEnders" (BBC One, 1985- ). Shekoni played a gangster's wife on the show, and immediately earned a loyal following from the show's cult-like fans. By the mid-2000s Shekoni started adding film roles to her acting repertoire with parts in "Echoes of War" (2004), "Garfield 2" (2006), and "Damages" (2006). Soon after Shekoni started developing a name for herself in the states with guest starring roles on American television shows like "Mike and Molly" (CBS, 2010-16) and "Brothers and Sisters" (ABC, 2006-2011), before nabbing her most as Zafrina in "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2." Her role in the blockbuster film opened a multitude of opportunities in Hollywood for Shekoni, but the actress was careful in choosing in her next big role in America. That role just happened to be as a castmember on the miniseries reboot of a popular superhero action series called "Heroes Reborn." The miniseries debuted on NBC in September 2015 with Shekoni playing a killer named Joanne Collins.
