Mannie Fresh

American producer, DJ and rapper Mannie Fresh was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. Following his father's footsteps, he became a DJ at age 15. A couple of years later, he started a partnership with local rapper MC Gregory D. They released three albums together, with Fresh as a producer. This work got him the opportunity to become an in-house producer for Cash Money Records. It was with Cash Money that he produced chart-topping albums for the hip-hop group Hot Boys, as well as the members' subsequent solo work. Mannie Fresh went on to form his own hip-hop duo, the Big Tymers, and later released and produced his own solo albums, "The Mind of Mannie Fresh" (2004) and "Return of the Ballin'" (2009).
