Matt L. Jones

Although a California native, Matt Jones got his professional start in Amsterdam, performing with the long-running comedy and improv show "Boom Chicago," both live and in a series of web videos. Returning to Los Angeles, Jones began working immediately in small roles in shows such as "Gilmore Girls" (WB / CW 2000-07) and "Greek" (ABC Family 2007-2011). But Jones' breakout role was as the recurring character Brandon 'Badger' Mayhew on the hit series "Breaking Bad" (AMC 2008-2013). Somehow, the low-life drug addict Badger survived to the very end of this show with a high body count. In between appearances on "Breaking Bad," Jones appeared on the sitcoms "Community" (NBC 2009-15; Yahoo!, 2015), "How I Met Your Mother" (CBS 2005-14), and "The Office" (NBC 2005-13). He also began a side career as a voiceover artist, adding character voices to animated series including "Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil" (Cartoon 2010-12) and "TRON: Uprising"(Disney 2012-13). After the end of "Breaking Bad," Jones joined the cast of the Chuck Lorre-produced sitcom "Mom" (CBS 2013- ), playing Baxter, the dissolute ex-husband of lead character Christy (Anna Faris), a recovering alcoholic attempting to straighten out her life.
