Naomi Ackie
Naomi Ackie was a British actress born in 1992. Ackie attended the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, where she studied Collaborative and Devised Theatre. She made her film and professional acting debut in a short film called "I Used to Be Famous" (2015), but the same year, she also made her television debut in an episode of the wildly popular series "Doctor Who" (BBC One, 2005-present). Ackie played recurring character Gemma Morgan on the mini-series "The Five" (Sky1, 2016); she then landed her breakout role as Anna in "Lady Macbeth" (2016). The British drama film received near universal praise, and Ackie won a British Independent Film Award for most promising newcomer for her performance. She played Mona in Idris Elba's directorial effort "Yardie" (2018) and also joined the main cast of dramedy series "The Bisexual" (Channel 4, 2018). Ackie's greatest exposure came, however, when she was announced as part of the cast of the 2019 "Star Wars" film, "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker."
