Serge Silberman

A significant force in French feature production since 1966, when he founded the Greenwich Film Production company, Silberman backed all of Luis Bunuel's late films, including the Oscar-winning "The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie" (1972). Other notable credits include Jean-Jacques Beineix's "Diva" (1981), Akira Kurosawa's epic "Ran" (1985) and Nagisa Oshima's "Max, mon amour" (1986).
