Shilpa Shetty Kundra

Shilpa Shetty was a well-known model and Bollywood actress for over a decade, before millions of overseas TV viewers met her for the first time on Channel 4's "Celebrity Big Brother UK" (2007). Between 1993-2006, she had appeared in over 50 Bollywood features in five different languages, experiencing waves of critical acclaim - including four FilmFare nominations - as well as box office failure. In 2007, she hit the international radar with "Celebrity Big Brother UK," in a season that erupted into a heated national debate over accusations of racism directed at Shilpa from some of her British castmates. She emerged the winner of the show and in a display of good diplomatic relations, was subsequently invited to meet with high-ranking British officials, including Prime Minister Tony Blair and Queen Elizabeth II.
