Tanner Buchanan

Young actor Tanner Buchanan proved capable of handling an array of juvenile roles on series like "The Goldbergs" (ABC, 2013- ) and "The Fosters" (ABC Family, 2013- ), which led to his first job as a network series regular assignment as a rebellious teenager on ABC's "Designated Survivor" (2016- ). Born December 8, 1998 in Burbank, California, he performed with various Los Angeles acting and theater groups before landing his first screen appearance with a minor role on "Modern Family" (ABC, 2009- ) in 2010. Buchanan was soon working steadily on episodic television, where he balanced heartthrob roles with character turns, including a boy with gender issues on "Major Crimes" (TNT, 2012- ) and a prank-loving bad boy on "The Goldbergs" (ABC, 2013- ). In 2015, his versatility was showcased with recurring roles on three series: Buchanan played a quiet boy who thwarts the courtly Lucas Riley (Peyton Mayer) from asking series lead Riley (Rowan Blanchard) to a dance on "Girl Meets World" (Disney Channel, 2014-17), a sexually confused young man who is murdered by a foster parent on "The Fosters" (ABC Family, 2013- ), and a self-impressed high schooler on "Game Shakers" (Nickelodeon, 2015- ). The following year, Buchanan was cast as Kiefer Sutherland's son on the drama "Designated Survivor."
