Teyana Taylor

Teyana Taylor was a rapper who collaborated with the likes of Pharrell Williams, Missy Elliot, and Kanye West at a young age, also dipping into the fashion and acting worlds. Teyana was born on December 10, 1990, in Harlem, to African-American and Trinidadian parents. Growing up in Harlem, she was raised by her mother and was always interested in music. Around age 15, she signed to Pharrell's record label Star Trak. In 2007, she appeared on the series "My Super Sweet Sixteen" (MTV 2005-08), planning an expensive '80s themed party on the reality show. In 2008, she released her first single, a cocky track called "Google Me." She made her acting debut in the dance drama sequel "Stomp The Yard 2: Homecoming" (2007). As her rap career continued, she collaborated with Kanye West on his masterful album "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy" and worked with him on his GOOD Music label. She also began modeling and immersed herself in the fashion world, walking the runway in fashion week and designing a pair of Adidas sneakers. Having parted ways with Star Trak, she signed to GOOD music in 2012. She released her debut album, entitled VII, in 2014.
