One of Thailand's biggest stars, Tony Jaa is a martial arts expert and actor. Starting out in cinema as a stuntman, Jaa became an international fighting sensation after appearing as the heroic Ting in "Ong-Bak: The Thai Warrior." In 2005, he headlined another hard-hitting martial arts movie "The Protector." Helmed by Prachya Pinkaew, both films proved to be highly successful and led to sequels. Jaa also co-directed and co-wrote "Ong-Bak 2," a much more ambitious movie set in the 15th century, and resumed those duties for "Ong-Bak 3." Following that production, Jaa temporarily left filmmaking to become a Buddhist monk, but returned in 2012 to work on "The Protector 2."
